The Challenge
For over 30 years, CANI is home for Czech ATC training and also provides ATC training for students from around the world. Realizing the high costs associated with student’s failure, CANI set to find new ways to reduce students’ failure rates, especially of students’ fallout during the advanced training phases.

HOW AVAS ASSISTS CANI

After installing the AVAS at the CANI training center in Prague, each simulator session is recorded and analyzed with AVAS. This provides the ATC instructors & course manager a true view of student’s performance and progress throughout the training. The AVAS allows to view whether a student’s ability to manage stressful situations is improving or not. This type of information, realized early on, is crucial before the course advances and the tasks are becoming more challenging.

Comparing student’s as a group allows the course managers to see whether individual re-training is required for those who fail to keep up, or a re-training is needed for the whole group.

TECHNOLOGY

The proprietary voice analysis technology at the core of AVAS, provides true emotional and cognitive measurement based on voice captured during training simulations or live ATC radio communication.
